Cash Converters has invested in a purpose built 12-seater bus which has been specially designed to create a mobile classroom in which to train its staff.
The bus started its nationwide tour this month (October 2013) and will be visiting stores and offering door step training to employees. The vehicle is equipped with all the learning tools found in a high quality, professional training venue, providing an ideal learning environment.
Corporate employees already benefit from one of the most comprehensive training programmes in the industry, with personal finance advisors completing an intensive four day course at Cash Converters’ head office before they start work.
The new bus will be used to boost employees’ skills in a range of key areas including a new computer system, compliance, buying and customer service.
David Patrick, chief executive of Cash Converters, said: “Ongoing training for our employees is key to delivering continuous improvement within Cash Converters. Our people are our most important asset and have to be at the heart of our improvement. The mobile classroom demonstrates our commitment to our staff to improve their skills and develop their careers, while also ensuring our customers continue to receive excellent service. It guarantees staff are fully compliant with all of our key procedures for buying, selling and helping customers.
“In addition, the bus will dramatically reduce travel time and expense for employees to attend training sessions, and increase flexibility and accessibility when delivering training programmes, enabling more people to benefit from our courses. “
Training sessions can now be tailored to specific regions. From high streets, to retail parks, to hotel car parks, the Cash Converters bus will be maximised as a great learning venue.
