CancerBACUP launches jobsite

for UK oncology and haematology

CancerBACUP, the cancer information service has launched a website dedicated to helping professionals find jobs in the cancer care, oncology and haematology fields.

The site has been developed in partnership with the Internet Corporation, the e-recruitment specialist responsible for the launch of several ''community-focused'' job sites, including the Nursing & Midwifery Council''s nmc4jobs.com.

CancerJOBS.net will carry details of vacancies in all of the specialist fields surrounding cancer care and research at all levels. Management, academic and even overseas vacancies will be catered for, as well as frontline medical, nursing and care roles. CancerBACUP hope that by creating a dedicated recruitment service for cancer professionals in the UK, the site will also raise awareness of the wide range of information services that the charity provides to cancer patients.

''This is a marvellous way of enabling us to reach more health professionals involved in cancer services,'' says CancerBACUP chief executive Joanne Rule. ''Many health professionals don''t yet know about the richness of the information we provide for their patients, and this will be another way of getting through to them.
