Broadbean Technology, has won the ìInnovator of the Yearî title for the second time at the annual ATSCo award ceremony and charity ball that took place in London last week.
The award, for the company which has conceived and brought to the IT staffing industry the most innovative or pioneering idea over the past 12 months, focused on Broadbeanís Hybrid product, launched last December. The free Interface which offers its users the ability to post job adverts directly onto multiple job boards from any internal system, has been adopted by clients such as Matchtech, Cap Gemini and various businesses within Hays. Oscar Gonzalez, database manager at Berkeley Scott Group, implemented Broadbean when it became available last year, he says ìHybrid has revolutionised the way in which we advertise online, saved us several thousand pounds so far and is certainly the most innovative use of technology I have seen in a very long time.î
The judging panel, consisting of Chairman and industry consultant Stephen Peerless; Recruitment Consultantís Editor Phil McMullen; Lloyds TSBís Paul Saunders and Independent Consultant Geoff Pinch said this of Broadbeanís win: The Company has demonstrated on more than one occasion that they are not satisfied to sit back on their haunches and supply more of the same. They endeavour to address the needs of an ever changing, demanding and more challenging marketplace. For a relatively young company, their energy and belief in their service and product is commendable.î
Broadbean also received the title ìInnovator of the Yearî at ATSCoís 2004 charity ball. The award, for an innovation that is as a consequence of listening to users needs and identifying where benefits and efficiencies can be provided, comes at a prosperous time for Broadbean who have announced plans to expand into Europe in the New Year.
Luke Hopkins, Technical Director at Broadbean said of the award We are delighted to be recognised for a second time for such a prestigious prize. We pride ourselves on the quality of our technology and always push the boundaries to give our clients solutions to real problems; these philosophies combined with the dedication of the best team in the industry keep us consistently ahead of the competition. Achieving the Innovator of the Year title is extremely rewarding for us all.î
The Bean Team will discover their fate at the Growing Business Award Ceremony next week where they are nominated in the ëInnovative Company of the Yearí category and Managing Director, Dan McGuire is a finalist for the ìYoung Entrepreneur of the year title.
