Beyond.com, Inc. Reports Healthcare and Medical as the Top Industry For Online Jobs

IT and Sales Jobs Remain Strong in 3QT 2006

Beyond.com, Inc., the niche career network for business professionals, released its Third Quarter 2006 Career Trends Analysis Report. For the first time in six consecutive quarters, Healthcare and Medical gained the top position for online job postings in the Beyond.com Network representing 15.39% of job postings. Sales and Sales Management, the former top industry for the past two quarters, dropped to the #3 spot with 11.97% and Information Technology showed an increase of 1.11% over the previous quarter to capture the #2 spot with 14.20%.

Over the past 12 months, Healthcare and Medical exhibited the largest percentage increase in online job postings with 4.50%. It was also noted as the top industry within the Western region and tied for first place in both the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern regions.

Beyond.com also reported that more than 35% of network candidates have a four-year college degree or higher and over 50% have five or more years of work experience.
