For the first time in six consecutive quarters, Healthcare and Medical gained the top position for online job postings in the Beyond.com Network representing 15.39% of job postings. Sales and Sales Management, the former top industry for the past two quarters, dropped to the #3 spot with 11.97% and Information Technology showed an increase of 1.11% over the previous quarter to capture the #2 spot with 14.20%.
Over the past 12 months, Healthcare and Medical exhibited the largest percentage increase in online job postings with 4.50%. It was also noted as the top industry within the Western region and tied for first place in both the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern regions.
