Berkeley Scotts Glasgow branch moves back to original location after fire damage

Berkeley Scott Group has relocated its city centre office back to its original location which has had to be extensively refurbished

The Glasgow branch of the Berkeley Scott Group ñ the UKís largest recruitment and resourcing company specialising in the hospitality, leisure and retail sectors, has relocated its city centre office back to its original location which has had to be extensively refurbished following a massive fire which devastated several blocks in Glasgow city centre and destroyed the Berkeley Scott office completely.

Newly Refurbished City Centre Premises
Whilst the fire actually originated in the building next door, the ensuing damage meant that the whole office building needed extensive re-building and refurbishment which took almost a whole year. As a result, the team have worked out of temporary office space in Union Street and are delighted to be installed back into their old offices, now immaculately refurbished. Contact details:

Optimism for the future
Glasgow Manager for permanent recruitment, David Shirra, comments: ìWhilst it was a shock to have had our offices destroyed last year, the team and all our clients responded magnificently and we were able to carry on the business with barely a hitch, working out of offices on Union Street. It is lovely to be back though and our beautifully refurbished offices offer a bright, new working environment and in an excellent, central location too.î

Team Leader for Temporary Recruitment, Neil McKenna, comments: ìThe whole team are raring to go and the move has been achieved with very little disruption. We have ensured that, throughout the changes we have had to deal with, the service we deliver to both our clients and candidates remains of the highest order. Berkeley Scott has built and maintained an enviable reputation for quality service accompanied by personal attention to detail ñ itís business as normal as far as weíre concerned!î

We are also delighted that, in light of growing business levels, we have further expanded our Temporary team with the appointment of Jonathon Baillie, a former ëYoung Entrepreneur of the Yearí who starts in the role of Consultant. The Permanent team is also pleased to welcome Chris Black. Originally from the Shetlands, Chris will be responsible for recruiting Chefs across the West of Scotland.
