Global recruitment consultancy Beresford Blake Thomas (BBT) has moved into larger offices, to cope with the rising demand seen for workers across its two divisions; technical and professional and health and social care.
The new offices, in prestigious Clarence Chambers on Donegall Square East, are now 1,600 sq ft, triple the previous size. This is to allow the business to continue its recent spectacular rise, having registered year on year growth of 200 per cent over the last year. The office has also seen staff numbers rise from three to eight in just two years.
The need for workers across BBT’s two divisions is particularly acute, mirroring Belfast’s own growth over recent years. The demand for technical workers, covering such roles as engineering, architecture, construction, quantity surveying and facilities management, has grown steadily in the past two years, evidenced in the current regeneration of Belfast city centre and the city’s general infrastructure upgrade.
BBT has also seen significant growth for healthcare professionals in and around Belfast over the last few years. The demand for qualified health and social care staff is continuing to be strong across the whole of Northern Ireland, from both the public and private sectors, even requiring BBT to utilise its global network of offices to source the most skilled staff.
Giuseppa McKenna, consultant at BBT’s Belfast office for health and social care staff, commented: The demand we’re seeing for social and health care professionals across Northern Ireland is really quite pronounced at the moment * hence, why we’re growing so fast ourselves.
Ours is a successful, tried and tested business model which works very well, particularly using our offices overseas to bring in suitably qualified staff. Our ethos centres on working as hard as possible for both clients and candidates alike and setting very high standards to ensure customer satisfaction. We’re able to do this thanks to our experienced team of consultants who are specialists in their sector and who take the time to understand specific client needs. We’ll continue to build on this model and grow our leading position in the market.
Michael McMullan, consultant in BBT’s Belfast office for technical staff, said: Belfast is growing rapidly * we’re getting clients across all of the main technical sectors of engineering, construction and architecture, asking for new staff and it’s great to be able to help them and the workers with new jobs.
