Beresford Blake Thomas strengthens optical division

Health and social care recruitment consultancy Beresford Blake Thomas (BBT) has strengthened its Optical Division with the appointment of specialist recruiter Bobby Sproston.

Bobby will drive the development of the division from the companyís Birmingham office. He is recruiting specifically for opticians, dispensing opticians, contact lens fitters, optical technicians, optical assistants and practice managers on a locum and permanent basis in all areas of the UK.

Bobby is no stranger to the specialist staffing recruitments of the optical industry having spent two years at a dedicated optical recruitment consultancy prior to joining BBT. Commenting on his new role, Bobby said: BBT is one of the largest and fastest growing recruitment agencies in the world, so driving forward the Optical Division for the company is a great opportunity - not only for me but also for people within the industry as competition can only bring benefits for all involved.

We will focus on developing strong relationships with key industry people to help them overcome any candidate shortages. We will also be involved in a lot of new business development and approaching large multiples with a view to becoming a preferred supplier, so we will be in the position to deliver the results our candidatesí desire.

Moving forward, we see the Optical Division at BBT growing substantially over the next year and we would eventually like to see the desk spilt up into four geographical areas. With 25 offices nationwide, a geographical split would enable our clients to have a local consultant focusing on their recruitment needs.
