BEA Systems appoints NEW HR director

For Europe, Middle East & Africa

BEA Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: BEAS), a world leader in enterprise infrastructure software, has named Zo Spicer, as the new HR director, BEA Systems, EMEA.

Spicer, who has worked for BEA for three years, previously held the position of senior HR manager. In this role she was responsible for the UK and Iberia regions and the EMEA headquarters; more specifically, she looked after the administration, marketing and sales engineering functions.

As BEA celebrates its tenth anniversary and following the launch of the new vision, BEA is entering a new and exciting phase of the business and is committed to hiring, retaining and developing the best talent in the industry, said Peter Stanley, senior vice president, EMEA sales and operations, BEA Systems. Therefore, Zoís role is integral to achieving this goal and helping BEA to maintain the high calibre of staff to which we have grown accustomed.

Based at the EMEA headquarters in High Wycombe, Spicer will be responsible for the companyís 800 employees in the region across its 25 offices.

Prior to BEA Spicer worked for Computacenter and British Waterways, where she gained experience in collaborating with a team of four overseeing 1200 employees. She is also a trained facilitator for Myers Briggs Professional Qualifying Programme.

I am looking forward to the challenges of this new role within BEA, said Spicer, I will be focused on acquiring and developing talent for BEA both internally and externally, as well as maintaining our excellent staff retention levels.

Spicer has a degree in business marketing from Bradford Management Centre, where she specialised in HR and marketing, and is also a Chartered Member of the Institute of Personnel and Development
