Aston Martin is number one dream car for automotive workers

A survey by automotive recruitment website InAutomotive.com has found that the Aston Martin DB9 is the most popular choice of dream car for those working in the automotive industry.

At a cost of around 106 000, this 186mph car is certainly just a dream for most.

The survey was carried out amongst the 1200 subscribers to the InAutomotive.com monthly enewsletter. These subscribers work in various roles within the automotive industry, including engineering, manufacturing, retail, service and design.

The Aston Martin DB9 received 30% of the votes. Second place went to Porsche (18%) with their 69 000 ë911í, with an unexpected third place going to Audiís comparatively cheap 22 000 ëTTí model (15%).

One person with their head firmly stuck in the clouds went for the worldís fastest, and most expensive, road car the Bugatti Veyron. This 810 000 super car has a top speed of 253mph and can reach 62mph in a pant-wetting 2.5 seconds.

A few of the respondents decided they would prefer to be driven around in luxury, opting for a Rolls Royce or one of Madonnaís favourites, the Maybach.

And one participant was more practical in their choice, opting for a motor home as their favourite!
