Association of Graduate Recruiters harnesses the power of Web 2.0

AGR's revamped website launches with new discussion forum, snapshot polls and direct to inbox news services

The Association of Graduate Recruiters (AGR) has today (Wednesday 10 June) launched an all-new website that is set to become an indispensible tool for anyone involved in graduate recruitment.

Carl Gilleard, the Chief Executive of the AGR, said: ìIn this age of new media the power of the internet cannot be underestimated. We hope that the new website will be much more user-friendly. It will provide vital advice and up-to-the-minute information as well as a real forum for debate and discussion amongst graduate recruiters at what is a particularly challenging time.î

The biggest development for AGR members is that they can now customise the website with their own preferences and subscribe to an AGR RSS Feed which will deliver the latest in graduate recruitment news as well as events and new publications directly to their inbox.

www.agr.org.uk will now also host online discussion forums for members and downloadable versions of the AGRís bi-monthly magazine Graduate Recruiter.

There is plenty for non-members on the site too. Anyone visiting will be able to take part in regular snapshot polls. One click is now all it takes to vote on the latest hot topic in graduate recruitment and results will be updated in real time on the site. The first poll, launched today, asks whether graduates are becoming less willing to relocate to secure their first job.

Finally, the AGR website now has a bigger and better online shop where visitors can buy publications, subscribe to Graduate Recruiter and book in to AGR events. Whether you are an employer, university, charity or supplier signing up to the AGR is now also easier than ever with a new step-by-step guide to securing that all important membership.
