Association of Graduate Recruiters appoints new Chair

The Association of Graduate Recruiters (AGR), has today announced the appointment of Terence Perrin as new Chair at its Annual General Meeting. Terence, who is EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) Head of Recruitment & Resourcing at JPMorgan Asset Management, takes over from Alison Hodgson, who has held the post for the last four years.

Terence has previously been Finance Director and Vice-Chair.

The AGR has also made two new appointments to the board, Anglie Johns, Graduate Recruitment Manager at Waitrose and Tracy Ross, Recruitment Marketing Manager at Rolls Royce.

Terence has over substantial experience in recruitment. Following roles in graduate recruitment including posts at the National Audit Office, Watson Wyatt and Dresdner Kleinwort, he now focuses on recruitment across EMEA for JP Morgan Asset Management. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

Terence's first exposure to the AGR was through his involvement in the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services (AGCAS) International Students Committee. He was elected to join the AGR board in 2002.

Terence Perrin comments, ìI am very proud and excited to have been elected as Chair and aim to use my experience of campus recruitment across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and North America in the private, public and charity sectors to help shape the AGRís future agenda.

ìThere are many complex issues currently facing the graduate recruitment community. One of my aims is to balance resources so as to continue to increase the AGRís number of new members, as well as retaining existing ones, in order to ensure a diverse and representative membership body.î

The AGR is the recognised national voice for all employers involved in graduate recruitment. Established in 1968, the AGR now has over 750 members including a significant number of public and private sectors businesses, which collectively employ 20 per cent of the graduate market. It represents those providing a high proportion of graduate vacancies in the UK and is increasingly involved with research in and around the recruitment needs of employers.
