An absolute inspiration!

Denise Walker has launched her own management consultancy, Absolutely Business, which specialises in business consultancy, interim management and training services for
recruitment businesses in the UK.

Former Executive Director of the RECís RITE, Walker says: ìDesigning, setting up and running RITE was a great experience and the services provided were ñ and still are - very much in demand, especially from start-ups.

But I could see that there was also a need for a more bespoke, hands-on approach for established recruitment companies, where tailor made solutions are actually delivered on the clientsí premises. So I set up Absolutely Business as the ënext stepí in terms of the depth of
work carried out.î

She continues: ìBefore we work with any client, whatever their business size, we like to ëget under their skiní, so that we really understand them, their company and their people ñ and, of course, their true needs, not just the symptoms. This enables us to implement a bespoke schedule of work to make achieving their business goals possible for them. And we donít just ëdeliver and run awayí ñ we ensure that, once the main work is finished, our clients retain the tools to be self-sufficient and to continue to maximise their sales, profitability and business performance.î

Early signs indicate a healthy demand for this approach; it is already working well for a number of clients, who started working with Absolutely Business before its official September launch.

ìI love rolling my sleeves up and getting stuck in, so thatís basically what we do!î says Walker. ìBut whatís vital to me is making a positive change to our clientsí businesses.
