AllTheTopBananas.com are today celebrating the launch of their latest job seeking iPhone applications, created for the Total Jobs group and CV Library, which have gone live in the iTunes app store. The applications, including apps for niche sites caterer.com, salestarget.co.uk, retailchoice.com and careerstructure.com brings the current total of job seeking apps developed by AllTheTopBananas to 11. The site has enjoyed a very successful uptake of the service since they began offering out their iPhone technology to job boards in October last year.
AllTheTopBananas have produced iPhone applications for 6 niche, and 5 generalist boards including their own job seeking application. Their latest addition to the app store sees AllTheTopBananas dominate a majority presence of 58% of the market space for UK iPhone Job Search applications; with only 8 other iPhone applications in the app store providing a dedicated service to the UK jobs market.
The jobs search engine's success in the iPhone market has been acknowledged within the recruitment industry, seeing AllTheTopBananas make it into the finalist round for the 2010 OnRec awards for Technical innovation from a recruitment supplier. The 2010 Onrec Awards will take place in central London on 31st March. This is the first time that the jobs search engine have been nominated for an OnRec award, adding to their successful start to the year; which has also seen the site experience its highest volumes of traffic since launch.
The job seeking applications created for boards by AllTheTopBananas.com are continuing to receive increasingly high weekly downloads in the app store. The sites are also seeing an increasing percentage of traffic coming to their sites from iPhones month on month. The applications give jobseekers the ability to hold their job search in the palm of their hand- to save and apply for jobs by using keyword or location based searches. The value of cross platform integration is becoming a key part of the job board's future, as more and more recruitment businesses find themselves on Twitter, Facebook and wanting a space on the iPhone- which currently dominates around 54% of all mobile web traffic.
Dave Martin, MD of AllTheTopBananas.com said: We are absolutely delighted to have a significantly substantial market share of the UK iPhone jobs market. We have developed iPhone apps for the leading job boards enabling them to be recognised on this fast growing, mobile job seeking platform. Until this point the UK market was not taking full advantage of this valuable branding space, with UK job seekers missing out on the wealth of resources available to those in the US, so we are extremely happy to be able to provide this service for jobseekers and job boards alike. The future of the mobile market is bright, and we have a lot of developments in the pipeline to bring our job search and our partners' job searches to the iPad, the Google Platform, and other operating systems, so all jobseekers can benefit. It is a very exciting project and we are looking forward to continue to lead the way forward for the recruitment industry.
