WHAT: Celebrating the 50th anniversary of executive search in 2009, The Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC) 50th Anniversary conference, Globalization: The Leadership Challenge, will explore the fundamental changes in the global business landscape, as well as the new role of today's leaders and the impact of globalization on the executive search profession.

The Battle for the Best - Globalization and the Talent Shortage

Adrian Wooldridge, Washington DC Bureau Chief, The Economist and Author, A Future Perfect: The Challenge and Promise of Globalization Noted journalist and author Adrian Wooldridge will examine the true character of the global economy and its real and potential impact on the war for senior talent. Adrian will identify the factors driving the talent shortage and demonstrate why companies now need people more than people need companies. Adrian will reveal how very few organizations or countries have done anything to prepare for the mass exodus of senior talent, even though the departures to retirement are inevitable.

Solving the Human Capital Equation in Global Organizations A panel of distinguished HR executives from top ranking multi-nationals will explore the realities of managing, recruiting, retaining and deploying scarce executive talent to meet corporate objectives.
