Broadbean Technology are pleased to announce the launch of AdApprove, the new service that helps recruiters keep on the right side of the law.

The UKís job distributor has created this new approval system in response to concerns over the changes to the Employment Equality (Age) Regulations on October 1st. Since that date, specifying that a job seeker should be íyoungí, íoldí or ímatureí in a job advert constitutes age discrimination, making it illegal. Terms like íapplicant needed to work in a young vibrant officeí must also be avoided as mentioning the age group of others in the working environment could be seen as indirectly discriminatory. AdApprove is a free opt-in service that sits within the award winning AdCourier job posting engine. The screening facility is designed to allow advert copy to be checked before it is distributed to job boards. Recruiters will still post adverts in the normal fashion but instead of going live on the boards instantly, the advert will sit in a holding area awaiting approval. Once the advert has been approved by a designated contact (this could be an administrator, manager or a lawyer for example) it is sent to the job boards.
