Weston Group Plc is pleased to announce it achieved the Highly Commended accolade in the 2006 Employee Benefit Awards for The most effective healthcare strategy. Weston was in good company with Channel 4 and chocolate giant Nestle also receiving awards.

In order to retain existing staff Weston has created a harmonious working environment with state of the art offices complete with on-site gymnasium, personal trainer, catering facilities and a comprehensive healthcare plan. The Group use annual and quarterly appraisals to assess staff development and Staff are invited to various social events throughout the year to both thank and reward them for their hard work. Loyalty, recognised by long service, is also rewarded.

In the near future Weston Homes is to develop four new major regeneration schemes in Southern England, with a combined completed value of 200million and providing 720 new homes.

The first of these new projects is a waterfront regeneration scheme in Colchester providing over 155 one and two bedroom apartments and penthouses located in a series of contemporary style buildings, some overlooking the waterfront. The project will launch in September with prices anticipated to start from around 130,000.

The second regeneration project will provide 141 new and converted homes on the historic twenty-acre waterfront Barton Mill site in Canterbury. Building commenced on site in June this year with prices likely to start from around 150,000.

In Maidstone, Weston Homes will be undertaking a scheme of 190 houses and apartments designed around a central square, ancillary squares, courtyards and landscaped areas, complete with beautiful landscaped riverside gardens overlooking the River Medway. The scheme will launch in September 2006 with prices starting from around 135,000.

Meanwhile, at Bridges Wharf in Battersea, Weston Homes will be creating a large mixed use scheme comprising 250 one, two and three bedroom apartments and penthouses plus a 100 bed hotel, heliport facilities, restaurant and business centre. The scheme will launch early next year with starting prices at around 250,000 for a one-bedroom apartment.
