Two senior appointments for KPMG

KPMG has further strengthened its UK cyber security and business resilience practices with two new senior appointments

Ken Hall joins as a partner, and Curtis Baron joins as a director, to bolster the cyber security and business resilience practices.

Ken Hall joins KPMG from Wipro where he was the head of the Global Cyber Security Consulting practice. He has over 25 years of IT experience and has worked in a number of sectors including finance, media, telecommunications, energy and utilities. Prior to working for Wipro, Ken worked for SAIC where he set up its cyber security operation in Europe. Ken holds a bachelor’s degree in microelectronics, a post graduate diploma in electronics and an MBA.

Curtis Baron joins KPMG from the Royal Bank of Scotland, where he was the Group Head of Resilience. In this capacity he led a function that managed the strength of the banks most critical activities and delivered major technology & infrastructure improvement programmes across multiple brands.  Prior to this Curtis held senior risk roles spanning security, technology and resilience for several leading investment banks. He has 20 years’ experience in financial services and has worked closely with regulators, government agencies and industry counterparts in the UK and abroad. Curtis is currently an Advisory Board Member of the London First Security & Resilience Network, a non-profit organisation that promotes London as a safe and secure place to do business.

Over the past 18 months the UK cyber security practice has grown its senior team with four partners and nine directors joining through a combination of internal and external appointments.  Overall, the practice has grown from 70 people, three years ago, to 250 today.
