Glassdoor Names Carmel Galvin Chief Human Resources Officer

Galvin Brings 25 Years HR Expertise with International Tech & Finance Giants

Glassdoor®, the leading jobs and recruiting marketplace, today announced Carmel Galvin has joined the company as chief human resources officer (CHRO). Galvin is responsible for building the company’s people strategy and infrastructure as it continues to expand its global footprint. Glassdoor is the fastest-growing job site in the U.S.1, and currently employs approximately 600 people in its San Francisco Bay Area headquarters, and offices in Ohio, Chicago, London and Dublin.

Galvin brings nearly 25 years of human resources experience at multi-national companies including Deloitte, Advent Software and Barra Inc. (now MSCI Barra). While at Advent Software, she served as senior vice president and chief human resources officer overseeing the company’s global people strategies and programs. Before Advent Software, she was Deloitte’s VP of talent and culture for the company’s New Venture Accelerator, advising a growing portfolio of innovative companies on how to scale and adjust their culture and talent programs. She has also served as the global head of HR for Moody’s KMV and Barra Inc.

A native of Ireland, Galvin received her bachelor’s degree in political science and business from Trinity College Dublin and master’s degree in Business Studies at the University College Dublin’s Smurfit School of Business.
