Barclays Corporate & Employer Solutions strengthens Pension and Investment Proposition capabilities with new appointment

Today Barclays announces a new hire within its Corporate & Employer Solutions (C&ES) business which is expanding and strengthening its Pension and Investment Consultancy proposition. Nicola Lonergan has been appointed to lead the continued development of the proposition as Pensions & Investment Proposition Manager for Barclays C&ES

Today Barclays announces a new hire within its Corporate & Employer Solutions (C&ES) business which is expanding and strengthening its Pension and Investment Consultancy proposition. Nicola Lonergan has been appointed to lead the continued development of the proposition as Pensions & Investment Proposition Manager for Barclays C&ES.

Nicola Lonergan joins Barclays C&ES from Friends Provident International where she helped shape their International Corporate Savings and Pensions Strategy and oversee the Bancassurance proposition in the Middle East markets.

Prior to working Internationally, Nicola headed up the Sales and Strategy team at Friends Provident where she was responsible for driving proposition developments and in particular the workplace savings platform.

As Pensions & Investment Proposition Manager, Nicola will focus on further enhancing the proposition to meet the needs of corporate clients (both trustees and plan sponsors) and in particular the investment strategy for workplace pension schemes in order to meet specific scheme and legislative objectives.

Commenting on her new position, Nicola Lonergan said, “I am delighted to be joining the Barclays C&ES proposition team and look forward to working with the team at such an interesting and changeable time in the pensions industry. Having spent 14 years within the industry, I look forward to working with our investment consultancy business to ensure clients have the best possible options when it comes to their investment strategies for their employee pension schemes.”
