Clearstone, the UKís LGV driver training and recruitment organisation, has today announced the launch of a new temporary recruitment service to provide a full recruitment package to customers. The service, which will run out of the branch office network opening around the country, has been launched in the run-up to Christmas in time to meet the high demand for LGV drivers over the festive season.
The new offering enables Clearstone to provide customers with the highest quality source of temporary staff in the logistics industry, in addition to their well-established permanent recruitment and training services. The temporary recruitment service will offer logistics staff for a variety of timescales and purposes, ranging from a single shift to high volume staffing requirements, vital over the busy Christmas and New Year seasons.
Compared with the beginning of November, the number of drivers currently in temporary placements is up 67%. ìWithout doubt Christmas is our busiest time of year, it speaks for itselfî, says Jason Straker, Transport Manager with Brakes Group, the UKís leading supplier to the catering industry. He continues, ìWe experience similar increases in business across the months of June and July, the build up to Easter and then mid September, due to school holidays and the public dining out more. But nothing quite rivals the schedule over the Christmas period, Itís at these times of the year when we look to draft in extra cover for our regular staff using a temporary service like Clearstone.î
Scott Feldman, Head of Marketing at Clearstone, comments, ìThe temporary recruitment service is an exciting new market for us to be moving into, further strengthening our existing offering to customers. The continued impact of skills shortages across the industry means employers have to ensure they know how they are going to source staff. Working with Clearstone gives them the piece of mind that they will be able to access skilled staff when required.î
Clearstone will provide staff across the complete logistics recruitment spectrum, covering all roles from LGV drivers, warehouse staff and forklift operators, to management and administration staff at all levels. The service is available to organisations of any size, from small businesses, to large multi-national organisations, all with Clearstoneís unrivalled personal service to clients.
