Pitmans appoints new Human Resources Director

Pitmans has appointed a new Human Resources Director. Wendy Somerville joined Pitmans in 1997 after emigrating from South Africa and has been Human Resources Officer with the firm since then. During her time at Pitmans she has managed the change from manual personnel documentation to a computerised programme, introduced an Appraisal system for lawyers and support staff and introduced and managed the introduction of digital dictation for the firm.

Wendy completed her Personnel qualification in 2002 after studying at Thames Valley University. She is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Prior to joining Pitmans she worked for Gestetner and Dunn and Bradstreet.
