Many recruiters are parting company with their primary job boards in favour of long-term contracts with secondary boards like CV-Library. Having noticed this trend, Lee Biggins and the team at CV-Library has carried out research as to why their clients are favoring the secondary boards ñ and it boils down to customer service.
The primary boards have grown so that they can deliver large quantities of CVs ñ but the customer service isnít there ñ and thatís what recruiters value.
Successful recruiter Margaret Young of Pilgrim Search and Selection comments: ìMany companies are growing so large its clients become a number; the personal touch just isnít there. Iíve found that my CV-Library Account Manager, apart from providing consistent contact, understands recruiters and the industry. Reasonable pricing together with quality of CVs is why I believe CV-Library is an outstanding job board.î
Although you cannot cast aspersions ñ and every brief will deliver varying results ñ but is the quality of CVs consistently of the desired level?
One recruiter, SGL Solutions has over the years used different websites to search for candidates to fill the requirements for its clients. Gillian Ellis of SGL comments: ìThere are some great job boards out there, we use CV Library on a daily basis as it offers a wide range of CVs from their database that will cover all the major job roles, and enables search by keyword, industry sector, location and salary ñ it also assists us in our mission for ëquality not quantityí.
ìThe online services also help us do our job. We have set up keyword filters that send the SGL team emails when candidates register and match our keywords ñ it allows us to contact them immediately.î
Job boards need to discover what is making its users tick, and what is happening across the online recruitment industry and tailor the service and access packages to the market ñ very simple but as companies grow they are losing sight of their customer. But thatís great for us!
Service levels win over recruiters
