Accurate Background, Inc has received the prestigious Procurement Supplier Diversity Award

Accurate Background, Inc., a leading provider of background screening services, announced today it has received the prestigious Procurement Supplier Diversity Award during the annual JCPenney Supplier Summit.

During the summit, JCPenney discussed future initiatives and the importance vendors play in meeting their goals. JCPenney is experiencing its largest growth period and will expand operations -- adding 50 new stores each year through 2011. Accurate Background has conducted background checks for JCPenney since 2006 and plans to continue providing background searches for both the corporate office and the hundreds of JCPenney locations throughout the country moving forward.

The basic certification requirement to be recognized as a minority or woman owned business is: The business must be at least 51 percent owned, operated and controlled by U.S. citizens belonging to one or more of the following groups: African American, Hispanic American, Asian-Indian America, Asian-Pacific American, Native American or Women. JCPenney recognizes certification from two organizations, the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) and the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), or any of their regional affiliates.
