Employers looking for ways to recruit and retain the best people can learn how to achieve this and much more at a day long workshop event at Bradford University School of Management on Tuesday 27 March.

Speakers from Yorkshire businesses, rated by the Sunday Times among the top 100 Best Small Companies to Work for in the country, will be sharing tips and ideas on how best practice can transform the workplace and inspire employees.

Adrian Fitzpatrick from Arena Group Limited and Jonathan Turner, managing director of Bayford and Co Ltd, are among the guest speakers at workshop designed to help other businesses who want to create a great workplace culture.

The Best Company to Work for Event offers each delegate the chance to attend two half-hour workshops on topics including motivation, developing talent, employee packages, carrying out employee surveys and communicating business values.

During the day there will be opportunities to learn more through question and answer sessions and networking.

Jonathan Turner explains: ìAt Bayford we are passionate about inspiring and rewarding our people who create the competitive advantage. One example is our ìFulfill a Dreamî programme, where we support employeesí interests outside the workplace. One employee is taking a junior cricket team on tour and another is driving a Ferrari round Silverstone.

ìIn return we find our people are loyal and stay with us for many years. Some leavers even come back!

The best practice event is at the School of Managementís historic centre, Heaton Mount. Tickets, which include lunch, are 100. To book a place at the Best Company to Work for Event log on to the website at www.brad.ac.uk/management or contact Linda Blackburn on 01274 234458.
