Dr. Alec Levenson to Lead Panel Discussion at Human Capital Institute Summit

The Human Capital Institute (HCI), a global professional association and educator in talent management strategies, announced today that Dr. Alec Levenson, a Research Scientist with the Center for Effective Organizations (CEO), will lead a panel discussion at HCI’s second annual National Human Capital Summit, to be held in Phoenix March 19-21.

Dr. Alec Levenson, will moderate a panel discussion March 20, day two of HCI’s National Human Capital Summit. The Future of Human Capital Metrics: Building a New Decision Science, which is based on CEO research, shows that strategic human resource and business leaders make human capital decisions based on data and increasingly sophisticated analysis tools.

Dr. Levenson will share findings on cutting-edge techniques and models generating strategic insights about organization and talent resources. The presentation will include examples from applications companies are using today; these approaches harness the power of technology and research to reveal insights that are often hidden inside data organizations already have. The panel will also share experiences companies have working with human capital metrics.

Dr. Alec Levenson is a Research Scientist with the Center for Effective Organizations at the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California where he focuses on the economics of human resources and organization design; HR and human capital metrics, analytics, and return on investment; and strategy. He works with companies to improve the quality of human capital analytics and increase the efficacy of HR programs and practices; organizations include Booz Allen Hamilton, Capital One, Cisco Systems, Frito-Lay, Motorola, Pfizer, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Royal Bank of Canada, and Sun Microsystems.

Dr. Levenson’s research has been published in numerous academic outlets and has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, CNN, U.S. News and World Report, National Public Radio, the Los Angeles Times, and Marketplace. He has received research grants from the Sloan Foundation, Russell Sage Foundation, the Rockefeller Foundation, the National Science Foundation, and the National Institute for Literacy. Alec Levenson holds a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and an M.A. and Ph.D. from Princeton University.
