Boyden Interim Management Limited has strengthened its UK team with the creation of a key senior position.
John Bloor has been appointed Director - Restructuring and Turnaround, reflecting the gathering momentum of demand for Boydenís input to business recovery.
John was previously with PricewaterhouseCoopers where he was responsible for the development of the firmís íTurnaround Panelí, a network of independent executives introduced to troubled businesses to lead or assist with the implementation of crisis management or turnaround programmes.
Prior to joining PricewaterhouseCoopers, he had a long career with Barclays Bank and became a Regional Director in the West Midlands. For much of his career, he specialised in credit risk management and spent several years in debt workout - managing the bankís exit in a number of high profile recovery situations.
Boyden is the leading independent, senior interim management and executive service provider. Combine that experience with that which John Bloor brings to our team, and we have the key components to a massively influential and impactful extension of our service, said Nick Robeson, CEO of Boyden Interim Management.
John Bloor said: If you want to make a positive impact quickly on a business thatís in real difficulty, you need to make sure that the business has the right skills and experience in its management team. The likelihood is that it wonít have them and thatís where we can help by providing senior executives with a strong track record of identifying problems and putting things right - at pace. Leading and doing, not just helping and advising.
And a great advantage of the Boyden proposition is that we can provide executives across Europe or globally though our international network of offices. These turnaround professionals act rapidly in response to the needs of management, investors and other key stakeholder groups driving business recovery and building value.
The range of businesses to which we can offer solid support is very wide. Where itís situational skills that are needed - crisis management or stakeholder management -our executives can work across sectors; where itís deeply credentialed sector experience thatís the imperative, we can provide that too.
Sometimes the issue is more ídysfunctioní than ídistressí and this can affect young and growing business as much as it can more mature ones that are losing their way. We can offer solutions based around decisive and productive executive intervention.
Boyden Interim Management Limited is based in Fitzhardinge Street, Mayfair, London, and is part of the worldwide Boyden network. Boyden sources and places interim executives at some of the UK and Europeís leading blue chip businesses. It also works with a range of public sector organisations and government departments.
