UK employees are set to lead global security in the workplace with a course from The Training Camp designed purely for non-IT staff. Security 5 certification ensures that all non-IT employees are able to recognise any potential security breaches in the workplace to alert the IT team in a timely fashion.
On the course, students are taught how to distinguish between legitimate and malevolent computer use. Topics covered include recognising security threats such as viruses and Trojans, using the internet securely and best practice in desktop security. The Training Campís accelerated learning model enables students to complete the course in two days, including taking the certification examination.
ìMost companies ask employees to sign up to an ëAccepted Use Policyí but the daily threat from viruses and hackers is no match for this strategy. By training workers in the basics of computer-based security, companies will achieve better productivity as downtime from malicious attacks will be reduced,î said Rob Chapman, CEO and co-founder, The Training Camp.
ìThis is a course that no business can afford to miss. Not only will qualified employees make the IT teamís job a great deal easier, theyíll be able to use these skills in their everyday life. For example, helping their children to surf safely and using online banking in a secure way. It will not be long before a Security 5 certification is a required skill on all our CVs.î
