A 26 billion industry and one of the fastest growing sectors today, the private recruitment industry is all set to welcome a nationally recognised degree aimed at recruitment professionals. The Foundation Degree (FdA)/BA(Honours) in Recruitment Practice is being offered by Middlesex University in collaboration with the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) and its members. The programme is targeted at individuals with professional experience in the industry keen to advance their qualifications and career in the industry. It caters to the needs of all recruiters including those working as agents, in-house recruiters and HR staff.
The course offers a student-centred curriculum that integrates academic and work-based learning, whereby students and their employers have the unique opportunity of devising individual programmes of study that are relevant to their particular workplace.
In addition, the course offers two core modules in Recruitment Process and Issues of Employment Law. Students can claim academic credits for prior learning and professional experience in recruitment. Modules from Middlesex Universitys highly successful Business School are also available to students of this programme.
According to programme leader Anna Kyprianou, The overall aim of the Recruitment Practice programme is to provide students with the opportunity to build on their experience and learning in the area and develop their knowledge, skills and competencies necessary for understanding, influencing and managing within the recruitment industry.
