NEW YORK and MAYNARD, Mass., - WorldNow’s and ABC’s new Local Media Network and Monster today announced a relationship whereby Monster will become the exclusive job listings provider and career channel for Job Centers on TV station websites in the nationwide network. Monster is the leading online careers property and flagship brand of Monster Worldwide.
Launched earlier this month as part of an alliance between WorldNow and ABC’s Owned Station Division, The Local Media Network aims to be one of the largest news and information advertising networks in the United States. Properties that will carry the Monster Job Center include ABC stations in New York, Los Angeles, and Houston as well as WorldNow stations in other major television markets.
As part of the agreement, Monster will power the job search tool on all participating station sites. The Monster Job Center will also offer visitors access to Monster’s industry-leading career management tools and services, which include expert-driven tips and advice on such topics as resume writing and interviewing.
The online classifieds market has grown exponentially over the past few years, says Gary Gannaway, President and CEO of WorldNow. The more those listings can be localized, the more useful they will be for consumers. The combination of Local Media Network’s ability to provide local targeting and Monster’s leadership in the online recruitment market provides an attractive environment for recruitment advertising.
