Human Capital Institute and Franklin University Announce Agreement

.

Washington D.C. - the Human Capital Institute (HCI), a non-profit think tank and association working to advance talent management strategies and tools, and Franklin University, a Columbus-based educator known for its focus on providing educational opportunity and choices for working adults, announced today a partnership to develop a series of Human Capital Leadership programs for the central-Ohio area. As a key component of the agreement, Franklin will host a quarterly series of live Network events featuring executives, faculty, and other leaders who have successfully integrated talent management strategies into their organizations.

Franklin University is a natural partner for the Human Capital Institute, said Alan Schweyer, HCIís Executive Director. Franklin has shown their own unique approach to human capital in its philosophy of supporting, encouraging, developing and recognizing people - both staff and students. And, as central Ohioís leading educator of working professionals, Franklin provides a ready-made audience of leaders who can benefit from talent management educational programs and networking events.

The first live Network event will take place on Franklinís campus on Thursday, May 26, and will feature Columbus business leader and author Robert L. Bailey, retired Chairman, CEO and President of the State Auto Insurance Companies and author of the book, Plain Talk About Leadership (Franklin University Press - 2002), speaking about how high performance people lead to high performance companies.

Franklinís faculty and student body will be granted Executive membership to the Human Capital Institute with full access to HCIís research library, live local Network events, Webcasts, Executive Briefings, and Talent Directories.

The majority of our students are adults whoíve chosen to further their formal education, demonstrating they understand the need to stay competitive in todayís knowledge economy, said Mary Ann Short, Program Chair of Franklin Universityís Management and Organizational Leadership major. Weíre pleased to partner with the Human Capital Institute to provide our students access to innovative talent management resources and networking opportunities, enabling them to differentiate themselves as leaders who understand the impact of effective talent management.
