Recruitment bureaux wanting improved productivity from their payroll software will have the latest technology at their fingertips this winter, courtesy of Qtac Solutions. Payroll Professional is a new IR approved package designed to reduce the administrative burden placed on bureaux running changeable payroll schemes.
Recruiters now operate in an increasingly flexible employment culture. Although British employees still work the longest hours in Europe, the traditional ëjob-for-lifeí philosophy has been abandoned in favour of more flexible working patterns. Recruiters place more part time and temporary workers than ever before and need payroll software that can manage a constantly changing employee base.
Payroll Professional enables users to process large volumes of client payroll data quickly and accurately, allowing bureaux to gain measurable value from their IT investment. It replicates the other best selling Qtac products in functionality and ease-of-use. Available as single or multi-user, for one-to-unlimited employees with unlimited multi-company capacity, the software has a host of features designed to improve efficiency and costs from client to client.
A new holiday calculation in Payroll Professional has been especially created for those that employ temporary staff. Holiday credits can be accrued on a percentage of basic pay, plus selected additions, and can be set per employee. Complete absence recording also allows holiday credits to be paid to the individual and full reporting is provided.
A new automated payroll process reduces the lengthy manual input that is commonly associated with large or multiple payrolls. User definable input files or time and attendance data can be emailed to the client or departmental manager for authorisation, and ñ upon return ñ edited, reviewed and automatically processed. Contractual idiosyncrasies, separate pay schemes, departmental variances or temporary staff, for example, need never impede the payroll process again.
Payroll Professional also includes a new tool for processing data for an already closed pay-period. Where late information has been received, an entire payroll can be re-opened and re-processed without restoring backups or back processing individual employees. A recipient of the Inland Revenue Payroll Accreditation Standard, the software incorporates new electronic filing part-submission features.
Qtac managing director Peter Prater comments: ìRecruitment bureaux regularly cite software complexities as an obstacle to smooth payroll processing. Firms need software thatís commercial, uncomplicated and cost effective ñ improving productivity and streamlining the work of the end userî.
He continues, ìQtacís Payroll Professional provides bureaus with the very best of technology combined with functionality and affordability ñ allowing payroll to operate as a value-enhancing service.î
Qtac is one of the few remaining UK independent payroll specialists. Its products are widely used by well-known British firms, including recruitment specialists Pertemps and Hays.
