UCAS, the central organisation responsible for processing university applications in the UK, has appointed leading performance improvement business, pandmm, to introduce and run a new benefits programme for its 370 members of staff.
The comprehensive package contains Lifestyle benefits, ChildcarePlus vouchers, Bikes for Work and LifestyleAction - an Employee Assistance Programme and has been specially tailored to meet the demands of a detailed brief that was provided by UCAS. The new scheme will enable staff to enjoy a variety of special offers and benefits and aid the Cheltenham-based organisation in establishing itself as an employer of choice in the local area.
pandmmís Lifestyle product covers the four core areas of health and leisure, food and entertainment, home and motoring and travel. It contains a wide range of discounts on items such as hotel bookings, family days out, gym membership, magazine subscriptions, restaurants, mobile phones and DVD rental. pandmm childcare vouchers, entitled ChildcarePlus, not only offer discounted childcare but come with additional benefits and also offer parents discounts or 2 for 1 deals on over 300 popular attractions. The LifestyleAction product offers a range of staff counselling and advice services covering issues such as tax, health and legal procedures as well as providing emergency care and assistance.
Chloe Braithwaite, Head of Human Resources at UCAS commented: We wanted to provide our current employees with a full programme of incentives that would demonstrate our appreciation of their hard work. We also wanted a plan that would provide a very attractive prospect to any potential new recruits by promoting UCAS as an employer that offers a total reward package rather than just a basic salary.
Working closely with pandmm we developed a solution that would span a broad range of benefits to cater for all tastes and needs. After collating the package into a fully branded benefit booklet for which pandmm provided the content, the scheme was launched via a series of onsite presentations. Our staff are now fully up to speed on the various benefits that they are eligible to take full advantage of and the initial response has been fantastic.
This is a great way to motivate staff and improve their loyalty as it not only offers genuine monetary savings but also provides support and advice to demonstrate that UCAS is committed to the well-being of all our staff since they represent our greatest asset.
David Lebond, Executive Director at pandmm said: The flexibility and diversity of the UCAS employee benefits programme makes for a very attractive reward and recognition scheme that can be enjoyed and utilised by all members of staff. We spent a great deal of time compiling a brochure for UCAS employees that we could be sure had something in it for everyone.
