Xchangeteam launches freelance training academy to meet market demands

Half-Day courses on Social Media and PR kick-off low-cost training scheme

Xchangeteam is launching its Freelance Training Academy in response to the current market, where jobs are tight and freelancers are wanting to up-skill in order to give themselves the best chance of securing jobs. The scheme offers a series of low-cost training courses designed to give the ever-growing freelance community within the marketing, media and communications sectors the most up-to-date skills and resources.

Commenting on the announcement, Xchangeteam Managing Director Mike Berry said, ìFor 10 years Xchangeteam has been at the forefront in innovating and fostering the freelance community. We understand that freelancers donít often have the time or funds to attend either expensive or long industry training programmes. Plus, freelancers donít often have the backing of a large organisation to offer continuous professional development. This is what prompted us to create a training scheme tailored specifically for freelancers, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to the freelance community.î

Run in partnership with training company Talking Heads UK, the inaugural two sessions in the Xchangeteam Training Academy will focus on the use of Social Media in a PR context. Costing 95 for one or 180 for both these two courses will be held July 23-24 2009 in Holborn, London. Anyone interested in learning more or booking a space should call 01275 847774 or email hello@talkingheadsuk.co.uk.

Celebrating 10 years in the business Xchangeteam is the UKís most respected recruitment company in marketing, media and communications and covers freelance and permanent roles in both digital and traditional media, across the widest breadth of markets.
