Workcircle lists over half a million UK jobs

UK job search engine Workcircle now lists over 500,000 jobs across the UK

UK job search engine Workcircle now lists over 500,000 jobs across the UK. Workcircle is the UK's leading vertical search engine for jobs, helping jobseekers find their dream job from vacancies listed by job boards, recruitment agencies and employers.

Workcircle indexes jobs from advertisers with permission every day, and creates a single database of jobs for jobseekers to search. Instead of following multiple job boards and agency sites, a jobseeker can now search once on Workcircle and find jobs from them all. And in the unlikely event there isn't a suitable job, Workcircle can send email or RSS alerts when it finds new jobs.

Simon Appleton, CEO of Workcircle said, Reaching 500,000 jobs is a milestone for us, it makes Workcircle unquestionably the most comprehensive list of jobs in the UK.

Having the biggest employment resource in the UK is nothing if you can't get candidates to the right jobs though, he continues. Workcircle's search is based on over 10 years' experience of writing sophisticated job search engines, and it shows. Our customers say we provide the best source of relevant candidates.

Workcircle helps recruitment sites get more highly-targeted, active jobseekers to their jobs on a pay per click basis. Pay per click means that customers are only paying for the people we send through to them - no subscription or setup fees, says Appleton.

Workcircle's traffic is sourced through their own innovative online campaign system as well as a new widget network. They sponsor over a million keywords and phrases across the major search engines, with the campaigns dynamically adjusted as the mix of jobs in the Workcircle database changes. If we see a sudden growth in jobs in Essex for instance, or a spike in the number of sales jobs our systems will automatically increase the priority of those keywords, explains Tony Jewell, CTO of Workcircle. It's fascinating to watch the trends in employment UK-wide.

Workcircle was created in October 2006 by online recruitment veterans Simon Appleton and Tony Jewell; the original founders of PlanetRecruit nearly 10 years ago.
