The RightThing, Inc. Honored Nationally as One of 25 Best Small Companies to Work for in America

The RightThing announced that it was ranked as the third best small company to work for in America by the Great Places to Work Institute

The RightThing, Inc, an end-to-end provider of recruitment process outsourcing (RPO), today announced that it was ranked as the third best small company to work for in America by the Great Places to Work Institute (GPTW).

This is the third year of the list, which ranks the top 25 small and top 25 medium-sized companies in America that use unique management strategies to develop successful organizations with highly productive and satisfied workforces. The small-sized companies, ranging in size from 50 to 250 employees, were announced by the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) during its annual conference and selected and ranked by GPTW. Each company evaluated was given a score based on employeesí responses to a detailed questionnaire about the organizationsí workplace cultures as well as an audit of the companyís offerings as a whole.

ìI can honestly say that in my 20 years of business experience, this is one of my proudest moments,î said Terry Terhark, president and founder of The RightThing. ìEveryone at The RightThing contributed to making the company what it is today and it is only through them that we have reached this pinnacle of success.î

The RightThing was especially noted for its flat organization. All employees report to Terhark, who also blocks time each month for face-to-face communication with his reports. Additionally, an intranet suggestion box, monthly roundtables, lunchtime learning sessions and 360 degree assessments allow all employees to contribute to business and policy decisions.

Founded in 2003, The RightThing has achieved great success in a short amount of time. Its client base has grown at an annualized rate of 300 percent with a current listing of more than 50 companies. Revenue growth of 250 percent year after year and 200 percent employee growth are testaments to the companyís growing position in the recruitment process outsourcing industry. Total employment was 29 at the end of its first year and now stands at 150 employees today.

ìSmall and medium-sized companies make up the majority of the American economy and workforce,î said SHRM President and CEO Susan R. Meisinger, SPHR. ìThese winning organizations demonstrate that making effective use of the workforce is key to their success, and they must be recognized for their accomplishments.î

Great Places to Work Institute cofounder, Robert Levering, said, These companies stand out because their employees find them to be places where they can trust the management, have pride in their work and have fun at work. Other companies have much to learn about how to both be productive and do right by their people.
