The Human Capital Institute (HCI), a global professional association and educator in talent management strategies, and the Executive Development Center, a division of the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University, announced today that David Forman, HCIís Chief Learning Officer and President of Sage Learning Systems, will speak at the second program in a series of Human Capital Leadership events for Silicon Valleyís business community.
The networking breakfast event will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2006, from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM PT, on the Santa Clara campus in the Benson Memorial Center, California Mission Room, at 500 El Camino Real.
Formanís presentation, Modeling the High Performance Organization, shares 20 key talent practices that make a difference. Each practice is discussed and illustrated with case studies and examples.
When properly reinforced and rewarded, key talent practices can lead to an engaged workforce and challenging opportunities for top performers, which in turn creates a more enduring culture of high performance, said Allan Schweyer, HCIís Executive Director. Weíre pleased to partner with SCUís Executive Development Center to bring this networking event to the Silicon Valley business community in order to help participants understand the link between talent practices and high performance, and provide insight into how they can implement practices in their own organizations.
At the session, Forman will also introduce a practical, comprehensive tool that can be used by organizations to assess the current state of their talent practices. The tool includes 75 separate talent practices that can be identified and evaluated in terms of an organizationís current ability to execute. Using the tool can also shed light on which talent practices are likely to be of future importance so that internal benchmarks can be developed and monitored over time.
