SkillSoft to Sponsor Human Capital Instituteís Learning Strategies Learning and Research Track

The Human Capital Institute (HCI) today announced that SkillSoft, a leading provider of enterprise e-learning, will sponsor the ìLearning Strategiesî learning and research track under its Talent Development Community

Washington, D.C. ñ The Human Capital Institute (HCI) today announced that SkillSoft, a leading provider of enterprise e-learning, will sponsor the ìLearning Strategiesî learning and research track under its Talent Development Community.

SkillSoftís sponsorship support will lead to the development of new research and education in Learning Strategies, initiated through the formation of a thought leader panel comprised of industry experts and practitioners. The panel will look at current progress, trends, best practices and solutions/services, and will form strategies to help guide organizations in their decision-making. These strategies will be delivered to the HCI member community in the form of research, case studies, webcasts and Thought Leader panel executive briefings.

ìWorkplace learning has become less formal, more collaborative and more talent-driven over the past decade. Learning is more accessible, but also more complex than ever,î said Allan Schweyer, HCIís Executive Director. ìIts importance to workers, organizations and economies is clear, as is the need for more thought leadership and exploration of innovations in this critical area. SkillSoft is a leader in education and e-learning and will provide valuable support for our Learning Strategies research track.î

Workers understand that the new currencies are skills and knowledge; they have embraced the importance of continuous learning and expect their employers to be partners in their development. The Learning Strategies learning track looks at all aspects of development from formal training and classroom education to the newer methods of learning that organizations are integrating into their employeesí daily schedules. The track will also examine the ROI in training expense, including direct returns from increased productivity and longer-term gains from better talent retention.

ìWeíre looking forward to working with the Human Capital Institute to explore the impact of strategic learning on business success,î said Lee Ritze, senior vice president of marketing and corporate development. ìWeíve seen many examples of innovative learning programs across our global customer base. Through our sponsorship of the Learning Strategies track, we hope to increase our understanding of success criteria and share this knowledge with an even broader audience.î
