s1jobs wins Brand Company Of The Year 2005

Recruitment website s1jobs was crowned Brand Company Of The Year at last nightís inaugural Scottish Marketing Excellence Awards

Recruitment website s1jobs was crowned Brand Company Of The Year at last nightís inaugural Scottish Marketing Excellence Awards held in Prestonfield House.

Shortlisted alongside corporate giants Scottish Courage, Tennents and VisitScotland in the most prestigious and hotly contested award category, the impressive outcomes of s1jobsí marketing won over the judges.

Launched January 2001 and focused purely on Scotland, s1jobs is the undisputed no.1 choice for Scotlandís job seekers and recruiters alike.

s1jobs Head Of Marketing Ewan Colville commented; As an internet business, the outcomes of s1jobsí marketing activities are highly measurable and accountable. And last years performance by s1jobs, the basis for our award entry, was exceptional even by s1 standards - 25% audience growth and near 100% revenue gains vs the previous year. Last year we also marketed new and innovative s1jobs product extensions such as our recruiter tool Applicant Manager, a Polish version of s1jobs and both legal and hospitality focused niche job sites.

Colville continued; Of course the íBrand Companyí accolade isnít just about marketing. It also recognises the excellence of s1ís in-house developers and our commercial team. Without a world class website and unrivalled range of vacancies, we simply wouldnít have good user experiences and enjoy high levels of advocacy.

The strength of the s1jobs brand was underlined earlier this year when NORAS WINTER 2005, the UKís biggest independent online recruitment survey, confirmed s1jobsí enjoyed a higher measure of brand loyalty than any other job board in the UK.

Mark Smith, MD of s1jobs said: Rather than resting on our laurels, 2005 looks like being our most productive year to date. We kicked off the year with a brand new TV and press advertising campaign and next month launch a new-look s1jobs website - itself the culmination of some 6 months development. Weíre also growing audience share further. Last month alone, s1jobs published 7,100 Scottish based vacancies, more than double its nearest rival, and logged a staggering 430K user sessions and 8M page impressions. This easily makes s1jobs amongst Scotlandís top-10 busiest websites.
