s1jobs has announced an extensive expansion programme, including the opening of a London sales office, the growth of its Aberdeen sales operation and the recruitment of several specialist marketing staff. The expansion will support the rapid and continued growth of Scotlandís most effective recruitment platform.

New Sales Manager, Jonathan Pratt, joins from Jobsite and will operate from a new s1jobs London office, in Farringdon. He said: ìHaving worked in regional media for TMS and Jobsite for over 13 years, I am a passionate believer in this medium. While at Jobsite, I was aware that if a client wanted to cover Scotland online, any agency worth its salt would use s1jobs. I am very eager to impart to London agencies the benefits of using s1 for positions not only in Scotland but for those positions which need the skilled expertise of people living in Scotland. Iíll be spreading the word that for a campaign to be truly national it must include s1jobs.î

Recent client wins in the North of Scotland, including Apex, University of Abertay and Global Santa Fe, have also lead to the expansion of the Aberdeen sales office, with the addition of Rory Patience to the team. Cameron Sim, Sales Manager for Aberdeen and the North of Scotland said: ìThe success we have enjoyed in the North and North East over the past year has meant that we now need additional resource to help manage our rapidly expanding client base. Rory brings with him extensive account management experience.î

The expansion also sees growth in the s1jobs marketing team. Head of Marketing, David Craik, said: ìWe aim to find the best candidates for our clientsí vacancies and we achieve that by investing heavily in both the s1jobs brand and in advanced candidate attraction technology. Our recent recruitment drive continues that investment with the arrival of a number of specialists in the areas of search marketing and CRM.î

s1jobs is currently carrying between 9 and 10,000 Scottish vacancies at any one time. Over the past year more than 2,000 companies used s1jobs to fill vacancies including Scotlandís top 5 PLCís. A new high was reached in May with over 375,000 unique users on the site, and more than 40,000 in one day.
