Remploy and T K Maxx join forces to help disabled workers and job seekers

The Distribution Services arm of retailer T K Maxx have officially enlisted the help of Remploy

The Distribution Services arm of retailer T K Maxx have officially enlisted the help of Remploy with its ever increasing recruitment needs and to provide support for its existing disabled workers.

Both companies have been working together for several years but yesterday (Thurs) they signed a formal partnership agreement at T K Maxx’s processing centre in Green Lane, Walsall.

The co-operation between the two companies has already led to Remploy, the country’s leading provider of employment services for disabled people, supporting many disabled people into work with T K Maxx and it is now hoped to build on that success.

Lorraine Klyen(Corr), T K Maxx’s assistant vice-president HR for Distribution Services, signed the agreement on behalf of the company.

She said: Remploy is a valuable recruitment resource for T K Maxx, as well as providing consultancy on disability matters.

Remploy is a national provider and we intend increasing our efforts to recruit associates through the Remploy network.

Remploy is also able to help us retain our existing staff by providing practical advice and support in situations where a health condition or disability is affecting them in their job.

Remploy development services manager Mark Burrett said:
Remploy has already been working for several years to support disabled job-seekers into positions with T K Maxx Distribution Services and to help those successful job entries maintain their employment.

This formal partnership agreement puts that co-operation on an even firmer footing and we believe the results we have achieved and the benefits brought to both T K Maxx and disabled job-seekers can only get even better from now on.
