Power Up with Ellis Fairbank

The benefits of networking should never be underestimated. Meeting up with like-minded fellow businessmen and women can be a very useful way to share ideas, win business and boost performance through learning from other peopleís experience. The business world is awash with networking events, providing people with an array of options; from breakfast meetings, to themed luncheons and weekends away.



Whilst networking is commonly used to create a sales environment within which people can exchange contact details and share business, many other professions within the UK are waking up to the benefits. Recognising the value that advice sharing and networking can bring to the world of secretarial and administrational staff, Ellis Fairbank in association with EUMA (European Management Assistants) recently launched a networking strategy to cater for this market.

Held at the Leeds Metropole hotel, Ellis Faibankís first event focused on the art of power dressing, accessorising and image at work. Canapes and drinks were provided throughout the evening to a crowd of Executive PAs and a free prize draw that included a day at a beauty salon and a silver heart pendant kindly donated by Mappin & Web, kept the audience riveted to the end.

At the same time, whilst they are crucial employees within a business, they tend to be the most overlooked when it comes to their development. In association with EUMA, we can now provide them with a forum for sharing ideas and the chance to become a member of a recognised association for their industry.

The feedback from our first event ìPower Up with Ellis Fairbankî has been extremely positive ñ a post-event questionnaire highlighted that 100% of the PAs that attended would wish to come to future eventsî.
