Specialist ICT recruiter Penta Consulting, which aims not to be the biggest but to be the best, has shot up the rankings to reach 33rd position in this year’s Sunday Times Best Companies report which is considered to be the definitive guide to workplace excellence among small businesses.
The passion, professionalism and sense of partnership that has underpinned Penta’s growth into a global ICT staffing brand are still evident today. Established in 1998, Penta is a privately owned organisation, where the founding partners remain at the heart of the operation, driving the business forward and continually demanding improvements and innovation across all aspects of the business.
91% of employees at Penta are inspired by the leadership, 90% gave a resounding thumbs up in the My Company category and 86% rated teamwork excellent. Overall Penta saw their scores improve significantly in all categories but was particularly pleased that Giving something Back and Wellbeing improved by 16% in each case. The company’s dedicated Training Academy and track record for promoting its staff internally mean that staff enjoy fast track career progression. In addition Penta’s new community programme, which gives employees the chance to get involved with local charities and groups during the working day, has provided a new dimension to personal development whilst overseas incentive trips are great motivators.
Paul Clark, Group Managing Director said: “It’s fantastic to be recognised as one of the nation’s best small businesses to work for and I’d like to thank all our staff for their hard work and commitment to Penta. This is a very special award because it asks staff to rate a number of factors which in turn measure employee engagement so it’s a true reflection on how they feel about working at Penta. When we launched Penta twelve years ago one of our key drivers was to create an inspiring working environment where staff were valued, recognised, rewarded and well looked after. This top level ranking confirms that while we now operate in over 85 countries around the world there is still a strong sense of family, people care for one another and working at Penta is fun.”
This latest award comes hot on the heels of Penta’s three star ‘exceptional’ accreditation awarded by the workplace engagement specialists, Best Companies. In order to fuel its success Penta has launched a major recruitment drive. “It’s all about ability and energy, enthusiasm and ambition. If you have good people skills, are results driven, have a track record for success and think you’ve got what it takes to carve a career in recruitment call us on 020 8254 7401 or email careers@pentaconsulting.com.” Paul Clark added.
