Not-for-profit sector recruitment in the spotlight at forum3

12th-13th October - The Business Design Centre, Islington, London

forum3, the UK's only recruitment event for the not-for-profit sector, moves into the spotlight this October 12th and 13th at The Business Design Centre, Islington, London. forum3 attracts 15,000 visitors and over 150 leading charity, housing, local government, social care, arts and other not-for-profit organisations, and matches those looking for a role in the sector with those looking to recruit.

Launched in 2001, forum3 has firmly established itself as a must-attend event within the sectorís annual calendar and is the only professional recruitment, volunteering and networking event for the not-for-profit and public sectors.

As well as the opportunity to talk to over 150 different organisations and 15,000 potential candidates, the event offers advice and practical tips through 70 seminars taking place on a variety of subjects from getting a foot on the not-for-profit career ladder and how volunteering can enhance careers to securing a role in international development or becoming a trustee.

Debbie Hockham, director, forum3 comments:
ìThe not-for-profit sector is one which can offer variety, strong career prospects and of course, the opportunity for people to contribute to something they believe in. In the past, the sector has been stereotyped as one which isnít as dynamic or well-paid as the commercial sector. forum3 is designed to dispel this myth and showcase the numerous opportunities which exist in the not-for-profit sector. For those with an interest in working in or progressing a career in the not-for-profit sector it is the must-attend event of the year.î

Chris Dobson, Head of People Support, WRVS comments:
ìforum3 provided the WRVS a perfect platform in which to raise
the profile of our organisation and recruit volunteers. We successfully built a strong database of people interested in the WRVS and subsequently have recruited many people. We are already looking forward to forum3 next year.î

This year also sees the launch of Responsible Business, a conference designed to help HR and communications professionals to better understand the impact of responsible business practices.
