Napier University Business School (NUBS) today announced the results of its research into employment rates and average salaries of Postgraduate (PG) students leaving the Business School as it gears up for its summer Open Evening on Thursday 23 August.
Carried out with 197 leavers from PG courses in 2005/06 at NUBS, the research has revealed that a resounding 96% are in full time employment working in graduate level jobs within six months. 53% are working in managerial and senior official roles, and 23% in professional occupations such as science and technology, health, teaching and research or business and public service professionals.
NUBS has also revealed that the average salary of PG students from NUBS in fully paid work within six months of graduating is 30,040. This is considerably more than the average salary of 18,035 for Undergraduates, and highlights the added value in attaining a PG qualification.
George Stonehouse, the Dean of NUBS, said: ìThese statistics are very encouraging and clearly show the benefits of taking your education to the next level. Our Postgraduate programmes are open to both full and part time students so they are ideal for students just finishing an Undergraduate programme and for professionals who want to further their career or make a career change.î
The Business School offers a diverse range of full and part time PG programmes from Accounting, Business Management, Finance, Human Resource Management, Managerial Leadership, International Marketing, to Tourism & Hospitality Management, Tourism Marketing to Festival & Event Management and the Napier MBA.
NUBS is inviting anyone interested in a Postgraduate programme to come along to its Open Evening on Thursday 23 August anytime from 3:00 pm ñ 7:00 pm at the Craiglockhart Campus, Edinburgh. For further information on the Open Evening or any of the Business School programmes, please contact the Marketing & Communications office on 0131 455 4504.
