Recruitment specialist, Meridian Business Support, has honoured the work of its outstanding employees in its national annual awards ceremony.
Trophies were presented to dozens of employees at the annual Meridian Awards Event, held this week at the Crowne Plaza in Heythrop Park, Oxfordshire.
The ceremony highlights Meridian’s forward-thinking approach to employee engagement, with high investment in staff wellbeing and development.
Mark Mitchell, chief executive of Meridian Business Support, says: “The Meridian board has been delighted to see so many examples of dedication and hard work within the nominees for this year’s awards.
“The ceremony really highlights the successful implementation of our long-term, sustainable strategy, Vision 20|20 and our winners tonight clearly demonstrate the passion and pride we take in delivering our very best. The current climate within the recruitment sector is positive and we look forward to building on our successes from last year to raise the bar in 2015.”
The Support Staff Employee of the Year award went to talent manager, Sarah Ward for her dedication to strengthening relationships between Meridian’s operations and support services, and Adele Carter, regional team leader, was crowned Star of the Year.
Winner of the Best Newcomer award was Jamie Gidney, who started with Meridian in August. He quickly became a valuable asset within Meridian thanks to the impact he made on his local marketplace.
Alex Murrell scooped the Student of the Year Award 2014, achieving the highest pass mark in the external exam from the REC.
Meridian Business Support also honoured and recognised those who have been with the company for significant milestones, director, Joe Reilly was awarded for his 25 years of continued service.
Vision 20|20 aims to deliver sustainable growth, under-pinned by an ambitious and purpose-driven business model and the awards ceremony recognises the success of this Vision. This was only achieved with the commitment of the Meridian team.
