Presenting this material is Anthony M. Stites. Anthony M. Stites, J.D., is a partner with the firm of Barrett & McNagny LLP. He represents business entities, ranging from very small to Fortune 100 companies, in handling all facets of their employment matters, including contract negotiations, labor arbitrations, NLRB proceedings, discrimination charges and suits, and workersí compensation claims. Mr. Stites works on a daily basis with human resource personnel and in-house counsel to solve and prevent problems in the employment arena. Additionally, he has considerable trial experience defending employers in all areas of employment decisions, including the leading case in the Seventh Circuit regarding the FMLA. Mr. Stites is admitted to practice before Indiana state courts, United States District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana, Ohio state courts, United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. He has presented more than 100 speeches and/or seminars over the past 10 years, ranging from local seminars for the Council On Education In Management to participating in nationwide seminars including the Defense Research Instituteís Seminar on Litigation. Mr. Stites received his B.B.A. degree in finance from The University of Toledo and his J.D. degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School. He is an accredited mediator, alternate dispute resolution and past president of the Allen County Bar Association, Labor Section.
