Kelly Services, a Fortune 500 company and one of the worldís leading providers of staffing solutions, has appointed Vanco, the pioneering Virtual Network Operator (VNO) to design, implement and manage a pan European Wide Area Network (WAN) and Internet security solution. The five year agreement, worth over six million pounds, will see Vanco manage Kelly Servicesí new centralised European data centre facility.
The Vanco WAN solution includes MPLS Matrix, integrating multiple domestic MPLS provider networks, and uses ADSL and Internet VPN technology to replace the existing frame relay and leased line services. The network will connect approximately 242 sites in 14 countries including Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey and the UK.

Providing employment to more than 700,000 employees worldwide every year and placing 10,000 people in permanent work annually and more than 21,000 people in temporary placements every week in the UK, Kelly Services needed a new network solution to effectively enable its centralisation strategy. Vancoís end-to-end solution will support the company in its plans to centralise all European servers into a single data centre to improve operating efficiency, availability, and control of applications. Vanco will also manage the centralisation of outbound Internet access and associated security to reduce costs, risk to the business, and vulnerability of their operating environment to external attacks.
