.

The 2006 Recruiter Of The Year in the category of small, medium and large Agency category were announced at the prestigious 2006 Junction Awards at the Indaba Hotel in Johannesburg on the evening of Wednesday 23 August.

The Junction Awards is an initiative of South Africaís leading online placement solution, CareerJunction, and this yearís event was co-sponsored by CareerJunctionís valued partners - the Sowetan and Sunday World.

The Junction Awards have become a prominent annual event and are the only Awards of their kind that recognise South Africaís Recruitment Agencies from the perspective of the job seeker. CareerJunctionís career seekers nominate Agencies that excel in personal service, understanding their career requirements, advice and guidance, negotiations, securing interviews and placement and post placement.

Three Agencies received the accolade of winning the 2006 Recruiter Of The Year, in three categories according to the quantity of jobs that the Agencies advertise on CareerJunction. The winners were Kelly, Quest Flexible Staffing Solutions and Abantu Resources.

The 1st Runner up in the Small Category was CallForce Direct, while the 2nd runner up was Career South Africa Recruitment.

Kris Jarzebowski explains the rationale for leaving the voting up to South Africaís career seekers, ìOur career seekers are still Clients and should be treated as any other client or person with whom we deal. So, it is appropriate to respect these individuals and allow them the space to vote for their favourite service providers. CareerJunction processes over 450 000 job ad responses each month. And these responses are nearly all South Africans. Out of this volume, over 650 agencies are now serving these career seekers. We think itís fitting to hear what these individuals think of the service they receive from the Agencies in our Network.î

The CareerSeeker who was lucky enough to win the sponsored CANON Digital Camera was Molotsi Thango from Pretoria. He was present on the night to collect his prize.
