IT recruitment firm celebrates record results

GCS IT Recruitment Specialists has officially de-merged from Grayson Computer Services Ltd and in its first trading year of independent trading, has recorded record results.

We set ourselves a target of becoming a 22 million turnover business for the last financial year and I am delighted that weíve beaten this target, commented GCSí head of sales, Paul Winchester.

Our preliminary results are now above the 23 million turnover level, with profits also exceeding expectations. We celebrated our achievements recently at our annual May ball, where we also announced our aggressive expansion plans and growth targets for the coming year.

ìThe IT market is the place to be in the recruitment sector at the moment. There is a real shortage of candidates currently at all levels and we have to work hard in order to fulfil our customersí requirements. As a result, we are looking to significantly expand our staff numbers in both the UK and Continental Europe this year,î said Chris Bartlett, GCSí managing director.

GCS already employs 79 people in Europe and plans to increase headcount up to 100 this year. It has already set aggressive targets for the next financial year which it will support with substantial investment in areas such as technology, marketing and a staff development programme, for which it received the Investors in People standard.
