Los Angeles, CA - Unicomm, LLC, a leader in developing and managing world-class conferences and exhibitions, and HRO Today Magazine, serving the $59 billion BPO HRO and BPO market, recently announced their plans to bring the successful HRO World event series, which recently finished its third year in New York City, to Los Angeles, February 8-9 of 2006. This new event will be in addition to the November, 2005 HRO World Europe event in Brussels and the flagship NYC event to be held April 26-28, 2006.
HRO World supports business executives by identifying which functions are optimally handled in-house versus those handled by an outside provider. A recent study by the Center for Effective Organizations at the University of Southern California noted that the crucial issue in allowing HR to be a ìStrategic Partnerî and not a ìCost-Centerî in a corporation is identifying these outsourced functions and implementing those changes. As such, during HRO World, all of these strategic issues are discussed and dissected. Key exhibitor categories at the event include: benefits administration, recruiting and staffing, training and development, enterprise HR outsourcing & BPO and 12 other niche categories.
The event will take place at the Westin Century Plaza Hotel and, as in the case with the NYC event, will have the support of HR Outsourcing Association (HROA). The West Coast is a ripe market for connecting vendors with buyers and HRO World West will provide a necessary platform for the exchange of ideas, customer education, networking and conducting business in a challenging, rapidly-evolving HR marketplace.
ìAfter three years of solid growth of NYC HRO World and recognizing the need for a show of this caliber on the West Coast, weíre very happy to announce the launch of HRO World West in 2006,î says John Golicz, CEO of Unicomm, the event producer. ìWeíre keenly aware of the opportunities that exist in the burgeoning California marketplace and look forward to filling the void and repeating our success there.î
Gary Budzinski, a member of the senior HRO team at AON Consulting, and an HRO World West Gold sponsor says, ìIn addition to New York, I am exhibiting and participating in the West Coast event because HRO World is an important vehicle to demonstrate how organizations can transform their HR functions from cost centers to strategic resources.î
As HRO World Conference Chairman Jay Whitehead says, In HR, ìcontent is kingî. The HR community has already voted with its time and money to elect HRO World in New York the most content-rich event of the year. So we are taking this success, building on it to provide an extremely convenient location for busy HR professionals who are unable to spend the week with us in New York each April.î
As was the case in NYC, the West Coast HRO World will assemble a solid exhibitor base as well as provide strong educational tracks. The tracks will highlight issues such as outsourcing, leadership strategies, employee screening, employee fraud and theft and the explosive costs of healthcare to name a few. Attendees will also be treated to the stellar level of keynote addresses from respected industry professionals, along with the ever-popular free special sessions and networking receptions that participants have found so extremely valuable at its NYC counterpart.
